What is the IELTS?

The IELTS or International English Language Testing System is owned, developed and delivered through a partnership of the British Council, IDP:IELTS Australia and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations.

The offical website of the IELTS is www.ielts.org

The IELTS covers four language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. It is offered in two formats the Academic and General Training Module. MBTT requires that the candidate obtains a score of 7.0 or higher in the Academic Module.

The introduction of the IELTS as a registration requirement is meant to facilitate greater collaboration among all health care professionals and to improve the quality of Health Care in Trinidad & Tobago.
