It is advisable that post-graduate qualifications are registered. Post-graduate qualifications can be group into Additional Diplomas, Higher Qualifications and Specialist Qualifications. Doctors holding specialist status and or higher qualifications with MBTT  are allowed to charge specialist fees in the Trinidad & Tobago.

The Application Process

Please note that while the applicant may specify the status desired ( via an official letter to the Secretary), the category of recognition is ultimately determined by the Council. All applicants for post-graduate recognition must be accompanied by an original certified copy of the degree(s) being registered or the applicant can submit the original and a photocopy of the degree. The original will be returned.
